USB Barcode Scanners

USB barcode scanners have a USB output. USB keyboard wedge scanners are connected to the PC's USB port and recognized by the PC as a second keyboard during the scanning process. There are also the USB RS 232 Serial Scanners which require a program to be installed in the PC for creating a virtual RS 232 Serial port in the PC. When the scanner is connected to the USB port the PC will think that the scanner has been connected to the RS 232 Serial port.
